BECKERLEG WINS PENTATHLON >> Sam Beckerleg made her season debut in the multis Thursday night and posted a score of 3,075 points to win the pentathlon at the Kutztown Collegiate Invitational.
Beckerleg’s strongest highlight was in the high jump. She cleared a personal best height of 5-3 1/4 for a new PR by a full inch. Her 55-meter hurdles time was 9.54 seconds, and she put the shot 37-9 1/4. Her other efforts included a long jump of 16-7 3/4 and a 800-meter run of 2:50.60.
Beckerleg’s point total ranks fourth in the PSAC; it is 125 points shy of SU’s school record held by Rebekah Newhart.
